What is a freeFORM Board?
The freeFORM Board is a device that supports the body to move through all available ranges, angles and planes of motion. The underlying principle behind the freeFORM Board is that the body is a complex, organic system and not a simple, linear and robotic system. The freeFORM Board therefore promotes synergistic integration of multiple movement parameters.
The freedom of movement that the freeFORM Board provides makes it one of the most diverse and widely applicable pieces of equipment currently available to medical and allied health professionals.
The freeFORM Board supports and develops;
- dynamic and static joint stability
- dynamic and static joint range of motion promoting soft tissue extensibility
- motor control, proprioception, balance and activation of the vestibular system
- enhanced peripheral circulation
- muscular strength and endurance
- cardio-vascular fitness
At only 65 mm off the ground, the freeFORM Board is effortless to mount and dismount and transition from one movement to the next. It is stable relative to tilting or tipping and is perfectly safe to use for all populations ranging from paediatric to athletic to geriatric rehabilitation.
